MVB Financial Corp Delivers Strong Q2 2026 Earnings: Loan Growth, Margin Expansion, and Fintech Momentum

MVB Financial Corp has reported a strong second quarter 2026 earnings performance, with net income of $12.3 million, or $0.93 per diluted share.

The company's President and CEO, Larry F. Mazza, attributed the broad-based outperformance to continued expansion of its net interest margin, disciplined loan and deposit growth, cost management, and momentum across its payment platform and fintech business.

This marks the fifth consecutive quarter of net loan growth for MVB Financial Corp, driven by continued momentum across several specialty lending businesses. Loan growth was up 12% on an annualized basis, while net interest income saw a significant increase.

The company's focus on disciplined balance sheet management contributed to another quarter of meaningful net interest margin expansion, rising 43 basis points sequentially. Credit quality remained strong, with the overall loan book performing well and in line with expectations.

While reported earnings benefited from a gain recognized during the quarter, MVB Financial Corp continues to see increasing earnings power across its core businesses as margins expand, loan growth accelerates, and diversified sources of revenue continue to grow.

The company's fintech business is also showing encouraging momentum, with three new fintech partners and products launched during the second quarter. This marks a significant increase in fintech partnerships compared to last year, with five new partnerships launched so far in 2026 compared to just five all of last year.

MVB Financial Corp's successful resolution of a large non-performing loan through full repayment and no loss gives the company confidence in its ability to detect potential problem loans early and resolve them timely on favorable terms.

The company's strong Q2 earnings performance is a testament to its progress in building a stronger, more diversified financial institution with increasing earnings power.
