RH Takes Aim at Doubling Its Total Addressable Market with RH Estates
RH, the luxury lifestyle retailer, has been making waves in the industry with its latest brand extension: RH Estates. Introduced in June through July, the 268-page source book is designed to cater to traditional and classic architecture homes, a segment that accounts for over 60% of luxury homes across North America.
According to Gary Friedman, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of RH, the introduction of RH Estates has the potential to double the total addressable market (TAM) of the RH brand. This is because traditional and classic furniture will anchor the next major style trend across the industry over the next 20 plus years, as per the company's outlook.
The company's Q2 2026 earnings call transcript reveals that RH Estates has been well-received by customers, with a significant spike in interest and sales. Friedman notes that the new brand extension is designed to complement the existing RH brand, while also offering something unique and exclusive for its loyal customer base.
One of the key highlights from the quarter was the company's strong financial performance, with GAAP net revenues exceeding $922.2 million and normalized adjusted EBITDA margin reaching 13.4%. The company also generated $72.3 million of cash in the quarter, inclusive of a free cash flow and a distribution from its Aspen joint ventures.
Looking ahead, RH has updated its fiscal year 2026 outlook to include revenue growth of 5.5%-7%, adjusted EBITDA margin of 15%-16.2%, and free cash flow of $300-$400 million. The company also provided third and fourth quarter outlooks, with revenue growth expected to reach 5%-6% and 16.1%-21.2% respectively.
The introduction of RH Estates is part of the company's strategy to expand its brand and increase its market share. By targeting traditional and classic architecture homes, RH aims to tap into a large and underserved segment of the luxury market, while also providing customers with a unique and exclusive experience.
As Friedman notes, the potential for RH Estates is vast, and the company is confident that it will be able to capitalize on this opportunity. With its strong financial performance and updated outlook, RH is well-positioned to continue its growth trajectory and achieve its goals in the years to come.
