Adeia Delivers Strong Q2 2026 Performance, Reiterates Revenue Guidance

Adeia, a leading provider of media and semiconductor portfolios, has reported strong financial results for the second quarter of 2026. In a conference call held on August 3rd, CEO Paul Davis shared the company's quarterly performance, which saw revenue reach $96 million with an adjusted EBITDA margin of 59%.

The company's cash generation was another highlight, producing $55 million in cash from operations, while ending the quarter with a total of $137 million in cash. This strong financial position enabled Adeia to execute on all four pillars of its capital allocation strategy.

Paul Davis highlighted the company's excellent performance across all aspects of its business during the first half of the year, including closing license agreements with major tech companies such as Microsoft, AMD, and Google. The recent deal with RPX further accelerated Adeia's e-commerce business.

Adeia also continued to invest in growing its leading media and semiconductor portfolios, positioning itself well for the long term. Despite the known headwinds in pay TV, including recent litigation matters, the company's pipeline remained robust, and it expressed confidence in its long-term trajectory.

The non-pay TV recurring revenue was a significant growth area for Adeia, growing 54% year-over-year in the second quarter and now nearly double the size of its pay TV recurring revenue. This strong performance was attributed to Adeia's diversified and growing pipeline, which provided multiple paths to achieve its revenue goals for 2026.

Adeia also highlighted a significant license agreement with Google, renewing access to its media portfolio for approximately 15 years. Google has been a valued customer of Adeia's for over a decade and operates YouTube TV, one of the most important players in the pay TV market.

In conclusion, Adeia's Q2 2026 performance was strong, with revenue in line with expectations and cash generation at an all-time high. The company reiterated its revenue guidance for 2026, citing confidence in its diversified pipeline and continued investment in its media and semiconductor portfolios."
