Aehr Test Systems Accelerates Growth into High-Tech Markets

Aehr Test Systems, a leading provider of wafer-level and package-level test and burn-in solutions, has just concluded its Fiscal 2026 fourth quarter and full-year financial results conference call. The company's President and CEO, Gayn Erickson, presented the highlights from the quarter, which have been nothing short of impressive.

According to Mr. Erickson, Aehr Test Systems exceeded consensus street expectations in Q4, capping a year of significant bookings and revenue diversification for the company. Record quarterly bookings, a very strong record backlog, and growing demand across AI processors, silicon photonics, and power semiconductors have positioned the company well for significant growth in 2027.

The company's momentum is evident in its updated guidance for Fiscal 2027, with revenue expected to reach between $130 million and $150 million, representing a substantial increase of 2.6 times to three times the just-completed Fiscal 2026 revenue. Non-GAAP pre-tax profitability is also expected to come in between 18% and 22%, highlighting the company's commitment to maintaining its profit margins.

One of the key highlights from the quarter was the significant progress made by Aehr Test Systems in diversifying into additional high-growth markets. Just two years ago, over 95% of the company's business was tied to Silicon Carbide for electric vehicles, whereas today, almost 95% of its Fiscal Year 2026 revenue came from markets not electric vehicle Silicon Carbide.

The company's fastest-growing markets this year were reliability and production wafer-level burn and screening for AI accelerators, CPUs, and network processors, which accounted for approximately 71% of total annual revenue. Optical device test and burn-in for data center infrastructure transceivers, chip-to-chip I/O, and hard disk drives accounted for another 20%. These markets are expected to grow significantly in Fiscal 2027.

Aehr Test Systems is also seeing encouraging signs of recovery in the Silicon Carbide market, as well as new growth opportunities for power semiconductors, such as in Gallium Nitride and even silicon-based power MOSFETs used in both automotive and AI data center applications.

The company's CEO, Gayn Erickson, expressed his confidence in Aehr Test Systems' ability to continue its momentum into 2027. "We're very pleased with our fiscal fourth quarter, which exceeded consensus street expectations... Record quarterly bookings, a very strong record backlog, and growing demand across AI processors, silicon photonics, and power semiconductors for both our wafer-level and package-level burn-in solutions positions us well for significant growth in 2027," he said.
