Aehr Test Systems Exceeds Expectations in Q3 2026 with Record Backlog and Growing Demand for Wafer Level Burn-In Solutions
Aehr Test Systems, a leading provider of wafer level and package level automated test systems, has reported another impressive quarter in its fiscal year 2026. The company's strong momentum across multiple market segments has driven record-breaking bookings and a new company record backlog.
In the recently released Q3 2026 conference call transcript, Gayn Erickson, President and CEO of Aehr Test Systems, highlighted the growing demand for wafer level burn-in solutions, particularly in the AI and data center infrastructure markets. The company's effective backlog has reached over $50 million, surpassing its previous record, with a book-to-bill ratio exceeding 3.5x.
Gayn Erickson noted that the company's strong bookings, which exceeded $37 million in Q3 2026, are a testament to the growing need for comprehensive test and burn-in solutions across multiple markets. As devices become more advanced, ensuring reliability and performance through thorough testing has become essential. This demand is driving growing adoption of Aehr Test Systems' wafer level burn-in solutions.
One significant order received by the company during Q3 2026 was a $14 million follow-on production order from its lead wafer level AI accelerator processor customer. The order included multiple FOX-XP wafer level test and burn-in systems, each configured to test nine 300-millimeter wafers in parallel, along with Aehr's proprietary FOX WaferPak full wafer contactors and a fully integrated FOX WaferPak Auto Aligner for hands-free operation and high volume production. This order further expands the company's installed base of FOX-XP systems and adds full automation across the production lines.
Aehr Test Systems' FOX-XP systems, which provide the highest power per wafer capability available in the market, deliver up to thousands of amperes of current per wafer. These systems have been shipping since last year and are designed for very high power, high current AI processors. The company's successful demonstration and shipment of a wafer level burn-in solution for AI processors make it the first company to achieve this milestone.
Chris Siu, Chief Financial Officer of Aehr Test Systems, is expected to review the company's financial results during the conference call. The Q3 2026 earnings conference call provides an opportunity for investors and analysts to ask questions and gain a deeper understanding of the company's performance and prospects.
