ESCO Technologies Soars in Q1 2025 with Strong Execution Across Served Markets

ESCO Technologies, a leading provider of specialty electronics and industrial technologies, has kicked off its year on a high note. The company reported continued momentum across its served markets, driven by strong execution from its teams.

In the first quarter of 2025 (Q1), ESCO delivered positive results across its businesses, with several segments shining bright. Aerospace and defense, in particular, saw remarkable growth, with revenue up 20% and margins improving. The company's Navy sales were particularly strong, growing by $14 million or 56% over the prior year.

"We remain very positive regarding the long-term outlook for these markets," said Bryan Sayler, President and CEO of ESCO Technologies. "Production rates across both our Navy and aerospace end markets continue to ramp up to meet customer demand."

The company's utility group also had an outstanding quarter, with its core utility business at Doble delivering double-digit orders and revenue growth, along with significant margin expansion.

"Our customers in the commercial aerospace and Navy markets continue to ramp up production, and we are focused on supporting those efforts," added Sayler. "Underlying demand in both of these areas is very strong, and we think the outlook remains quite positive for 2025 and beyond."

The company's focus on supporting its customers' needs has been a key driver of its success. With over 3,000 team members around the world, ESCO Technologies relies on the dedication and commitment of its employees to deliver results.

As Sayler noted during the conference call, "Our company consists of over 3,000 team members, and our success is not possible without their dedication and commitment to our customers around the world."

The company also addressed some challenging conditions faced by its Southern California-based employees due to major wildfires in the area. Despite these challenges, ESCO Technologies remains focused on supporting its employees as needed.

Looking ahead, ESCO Technologies is optimistic about the future of its aerospace and defense business, with underlying demand remaining strong and production rates expected to continue ramping up. The company's utility group also has a bright outlook, with double-digit orders and revenue growth anticipated in the coming quarters.
