Eve Holding's Historic Flight Milestones Marked by Groundbreaking Quarter
Eve Holding, Inc. has marked its fourth quarter 2025 as one of the most significant periods in the company's history. The aerospace leader concluded the first flight of its engineering prototype last December, after a series of extensive ground tests on all systems were completed.
The short yet groundbreaking flight lasted around a minute and paved the way for further phases of the flight campaign. A total of 28 flights have been performed, with more than an hour of accumulated flight time. The prototype has recently undergone a 2-week scheduled load calibration test in preparation for continued expansion of the flight envelope.
In addition to these achievements, Eve Holding continues to engage closely with ANAC on final certification plans and suppliers who are already providing components for the first conforming prototype. This collaboration ensures that the company is well-prepared to move forward with its ambitious flight program.
A closer look at the December nineteenth flight reveals a major milestone for Eve Holding. The successful completion of this initial flight not only validated the proof-of-concept configuration but also confirmed the integration of key systems, including fifth-generation fly-by-wire and fixed-pitch lifter rotors. During the flight, control laws were exercised, and the aircraft's energy management, dynamic response, and noise footprint were assessed.
The prototype performed as predicted by company models, allowing Eve Holding to expand its flight envelope and progress toward transition to wing-borne flight. The next phases will be conducted with a disciplined approach, ramping up to around 300 flights throughout 2026 and building the knowledge required for type certification.
Eve Holding's consistent and intense flight campaign has yielded impressive results, with 28 flights completed and over an hour of accumulated flight time. High-quality test points are being validated in each flight, enabling the company to continue progressing and expanding its flight envelope. Longer flights at higher altitudes, in-air maneuvers, and rotation on its own axis have been successfully performed.
Weather permitting, Eve Holding's aircraft is being put to the test twice a day, demonstrating the company's commitment to advancing its flight program. This level of dedication will undoubtedly contribute to the achievement of the company's ambitious goals.
