FinVolution Group Roars Back in Q4 2025 with Resilient Financial Performance Amid Challenging Macro Environment
Despite a challenging macro environment, FinVolution Group delivered a resilient financial performance in its fourth quarter and full year 2025 earnings call.
"We've learned, adapt[ed], and built something valuable and lasting," said Mr. Tiezhen Li, CEO of FinVolution Group, in the conference call. "2025's challenging macro environment tested our resilience, but it also reaffirmed our strategic direction to advance our international expansion."
According to the earnings release, FinVolution Group achieved full-year group revenue of RMB 13.6 billion, up 3.8% year-over-year. Net profit rose to RMB 2.5 billion, a 6.6% increase from last year.
The company's transaction volume for the full year was tempered by regulatory uncertainty in China in the second half of the year, resulting in a 2.9% decline in volume compared to the same period in the previous year. However, FinVolution Group's local excellence global outlook strategy has unlocked diversification value and brought much-needed resilience to its platform.
"Our international business grew significantly in 2025," said Mr. Li. "Our volume increased by 38.6%, and revenue rose by 32.0% year-over-year. Most notably, international business contributes 31% of revenue for the quarter, significantly higher than 21% just a year ago."
FinVolution Group's international expansion has been gaining momentum, with its recent entry into Australia marking a significant milestone in its global growth strategy. The company operates across both developing markets and developed markets, underpinning this momentum is the quiet evolution of its international strategy itself.
"We have deepened our capabilities at the platform level instead of each country operating as a stand-alone effort," said Mr. Li. "We systematically capture the expertise, relationships, and the capabilities we developed in one market and recycle them to accelerate the de-risk entry into the next."
This strategic approach has transformed FinVolution Group's international portfolio from a collection of local wins into an integrated platform with compounded platform-level advantages.
