Lightspeed Accelerates Growth Momentum in Q4 2026 with Strong Revenue and Gross Profit Growth

Lightspeed, a leading provider of commerce, hospitality, and retail software solutions, has reported strong revenue and gross profit growth in its fiscal fourth quarter 2026, according to a recent conference call transcript.

In Q4, Lightspeed delivered total revenue of $291 million and gross profit of $129 million, both up 15% year-over-year and ahead of the company's previously established outlook. Adjusted EBITDA of $15 million was up 17% year-over-year, reflecting the strength of its growth engines.

The company's growth engines, which comprise approximately 75% of total revenues after the divestment of Upserve, saw significant momentum in Q4 with total revenue up 24%, gross transaction value (GTV) up 19%, and customer locations up 11%. These metrics demonstrate the success of Lightspeed's strategy to focus on its core areas of retail in North America and hospitality in Europe.

With a clear vision for growth, Lightspeed has identified three priorities that will drive long-term value: growing customer locations in its growth engines, expanding subscription ARPU (average revenue per user), and improving adjusted EBITDA and free cash flow. In Q4, the company made solid progress on these fronts.

Customer location growth accelerated for the fourth consecutive quarter, with approximately 3,200 net new locations added in Q4, a 11% year-over-year increase. Total customer locations grew to 150,000, including both growth and efficiency markets. The addition of prominent customers such as luxury lifestyle brand AERIN and multi-location retailer Oshima Surf & Skate further reinforces the company's momentum.

Lightspeed Wholesale, a platform that connects retailers using its Lightspeed Retail POS to brands using NuORDER by Lightspeed, also saw success with over 5 million products from over 4,000 brands now available to retailers on one platform. This integration streamlines the ordering process for retailers and strengthens Lightspeed's position in the retail software market.

These achievements bring Lightspeed closer to meeting its three-year targets presented at its Capital Markets Day last year. With a solid foundation in place, the company is poised for continued growth and expansion in fiscal 2027, driven by its growth engines which are expected to comprise approximately 80% of total revenues.
