Skillz Inc. Closes Out 2025 with Impressive Growth in Revenue and AI Ad Tech Segment

San Francisco-based Skillz Inc., a leading mobile gaming platform, has wrapped up its fourth quarter and full-year 2025 financial performance with impressive growth across key metrics. According to the company's Q4 2025 conference call transcript, Skillz reported GAAP revenue of $30 million for the quarter, marking an 11% increase from the previous quarter and a 67% jump from the same period in 2024.

The significant revenue growth can be attributed to the performance of Skillz's AI ad tech segment, RZR (formerly Aarki), which was rebranded last month. RZR delivered an astonishing 146% net revenue growth year-over-year and achieved a positive adjusted EBITDA for the full-year 2025, making it the first time since its acquisition in 2021.

In addition to the revenue growth, Skillz highlighted its four business pillars as key drivers of its success. The company is committed to enhancing the platform for player and developer engagement through new content and a strengthened developer experience. This was evident with the debut of the Pro SDK product at the Annual Game Developers Conference in San Francisco last month.

The Pro SDK architecture expands Skillz's development framework, providing developers with full creative control over gameplay experiences while strengthening monetization capabilities. Meanwhile, RZR is evolving into a scaled performance marketing platform with meaningful monetization capabilities across the broader digital ecosystem.

Another area of focus for Skillz is upleveling its organization through operational efficiency improvements. This has enabled the company to better leverage its people and resources, supporting growth across both platforms. Skillz also recently strengthened its board of directors by adding Gary Vecchiarelli and Shannon Demus, who bring extensive public company finance experience and gaming platform operating expertise.

Regarding RZR's performance, the company emphasized stronger systems, deeper advertiser relationships, and disciplined channel growth as key contributors to its momentum. Skillz's full-year 2025 GAAP revenue reached $105 million, up from $93 million in 2024, representing a 13% year-over-year increase.

While adjusted EBITDA loss was reported at $51 million for the full-year 2025, it represents a 16% improvement compared to the previous year. This marked four consecutive quarters of sequential revenue growth and two consecutive quarters of year-over-year revenue growth.
