Volaris Takes Flight: Q2 2026 Results Show Record-Breaking Performance Amidst Turbulent Fuel Environment

Good morning, everyone, and welcome to our second quarter 2026 earnings call. In the second quarter, we responded immediately and decisively, taking the actions needed to preserve liquidity, protect our value proposition, and maximize performance across our network, despite facing the most challenging fuel environment in our history.

According to Enrique Beltranena, President and CEO of Volaris, through disciplined capacity management, commercial execution, and operational efficiency, we deployed aircraft where economic returns were strongest. We proactively adjusted our network, aligned capacity with demand and economic contribution, and calibrated fares to market conditions. The company ensured that every route was operating cash positive during the quarter, a powerful proof point of their disciplined network strategy and ability to protect liquidity and balance sheet flexibility despite the elevated fuel costs.

This approach led to significant financial gains for Volaris. With $824 million in cash at the end of the second quarter, an increase of $58 million from the end of the first quarter, the company demonstrated its ability to weather even the most turbulent fuel environments. Multiple actions within the network and revenue generated strong operating cash, with their network strategy playing a central role in this performance.

In terms of operational efficiency, Volaris has been working hard to optimize fuel consumption through tactical efficiency initiatives, disciplined fleet assignment, and greater utilization of available new aircraft. As a result, they achieved the highest fuel efficiency in company history, with fuel efficiency measured as ASMs per gallon improving 3.3% year-over-year from 105.8 in the second quarter of 2025 to 109.2 in the second quarter of 2026.

This improvement allowed Volaris to avoid approximately 2 million gallons of fuel consumption and generated an estimated $7 million in savings during the quarter. It is clear that through their dedication to operational efficiency, Volaris has been able to navigate the challenging fuel environment with ease and maintain a strong financial position.

Furthermore, the company's revenue growth has also seen significant improvement, driven by the deliberate expansion of its international network. International capacity reached 43% of total ASMs during the quarter, up from roughly 30% three years ago. This strategic vision is bearing fruit, with Volaris demonstrating unmatched success in the U.S.-Mexico transported market.

The company's ability to dynamically redeploy capacity to markets with robust demand and strong fare absorption has driven revenue growth of more than 30% year-over-year. Load factor has returned to historical average levels, and domestic load factor reached an impressive 89%, further solidifying Volaris' position as a leading player in the Mexican market.

It is clear that Volaris has been working tirelessly to ensure its continued success amidst a challenging fuel environment. With their disciplined network strategy, operational efficiency, and revenue growth driving the company forward, it will be exciting to see what the future holds for this innovative airline.
