Voyager Technologies Accelerates Growth in 2025 with Record Revenue Guidance
Voyager Technologies, a leading innovator in space and defense technology, has reported a remarkable year in 2025, marked by significant growth, record revenue guidance, and strategic investments in innovation and talent.
According to the company's Q4 2025 conference call transcript, Voyager achieved a 59% year-over-year growth in its defense and national security segment, driven by execution on classified programs such as Next Generation Interceptor. The company's backlog increased by 33%, reaching $266 million, setting the stage for accelerated growth in 2026.
Voyager also demonstrated its commitment to innovation, investing over 20% of revenue in research and development (R&D), a significant increase from previous years. This includes customer-funded R&D, as well as internally funded initiatives aimed at strengthening competitive moats and capitalizing on growing addressable markets.
The company highlighted several notable innovations, including the successful critical design review of its throttle propulsion for Next Generation Interceptor, AI-enabled edge computing, patented extraterrestrial manufacturing method for high-performance optical communications, and a patented dust repellent coating technology that landed on the moon aboard Firefly's Blue Ghost lander.
Voyager's commitment to innovation extends beyond internal investments. The company has established strategic partnerships with leading academic institutions, including the University of North Dakota, the University of Connecticut, and The Ohio State University, through its Voyager Institute for Space, Technology and Advancement (VISTA). This partnership is a first-of-its-kind U.S. campus purpose-built to accelerate the commercial space economy.
Additionally, Voyager has invested in talent acquisition, hiring industry experts such as Paul Tillman as Chief Technology Officer and John Baum as Chief Marketing Officer. These strategic hires are expected to further drive innovation and growth within the company.
