XPeng Inc. Powers Ahead into Strongest Delivery Growth Trajectory

Xpeng Inc., a leading Chinese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, has reported impressive financial and operating results for the first quarter of 2026, with delivery growth expected to accelerate significantly in the coming quarters. At a recent conference call, XPeng's CEO He Xiaopeng outlined the company's vision for physical AI applications and its plans to capitalize on emerging opportunities.

Despite broad market volatility in China's domestic new energy vehicle market, XPeng delivered 62,682 vehicles in Q1 2026, demonstrating the company's focus on balancing delivery volume with operating quality. He Xiaopeng expressed confidence that deliveries will grow substantially quarter-over-quarter in each of the remaining quarters this year, with Q2 deliveries expected to reach between 100,000 and 106,000 units, a growth rate of over 60%.

The company is also investing heavily in research and development (R&D) to enhance its AI capabilities. As He Xiaopeng noted, XPeng's focus on physical AI applications represents one of the most significant global strategic opportunities of the next decade. The company aims to bring Robotaxis and humanoid robots into mass production while building a commercial ecosystem around them.

Xpeng's recent launch of the 2026 XPeng MONA M03 model has been well-received, with more than 85% of customers opting for the Max or Ultra SE versions powered by the company's Turing AI SoC. The MONA M03 has remained China's top-selling A-class pure electric sedan for 19 consecutive months.

The company's CEO emphasized that XPeng is entering its strongest delivery growth trajectory in history, driven by the launch of four new all-wheel-drive SUV models within the next six months. These global vehicles are designed to meet growing demand for EVs and demonstrate XPeng's commitment to innovation and quality.

Xpeng's transformation from a smart EV company to a physical AI company reflects its leadership in emerging technologies. The company's focus on R&D investment, combined with its emphasis on balancing delivery volume with operating quality, positions it well for future growth and success.

The conference call highlighted XPeng's confidence in its ability to capitalize on emerging opportunities in the EV market. As the global demand for electric vehicles continues to grow, XPeng is poised to take advantage of this trend, driven by its innovative products, strong delivery growth trajectory, and commitment to R&D investment.
