KLX Energy Services Posts Strong Q2 2026 Earnings, Eyes Future Growth

KLX Energy Services has announced its second quarter 2026 earnings, and the results are nothing short of impressive. The company's revenue reached approximately $167 million, a significant increase from the first quarter, with adjusted EBITDA expanding by 68% to $19 million.

KLX's President and CEO, Chris Baker, highlighted three key accomplishments that defined the second half of Q2 and early Q3 for the company. These include continued revenue growth and EBITDA expansion, the successful completion and integration of the Wolfpack acquisition, and a $125 million backstop equity rights offering to support balance sheet improvement.

The acquisition of Wolfpack Rentals marked a significant milestone in the quarter, expanding KLX's capabilities and customer reach in key markets while adding needed scale in certain areas. The addition contributed $3.4 million of revenue in June, implying a current annual revenue run rate of approximately $41 million, which compares favorably to Wolfpack's full year 2025 revenue of $38 million.

KLX's focus on profitable growth, disciplined execution, and creating long-term value for shareholders is evident in these accomplishments. The company's initiatives are not driven by operational challenges but rather reflect its confidence in the business and commitment to creating a stronger foundation for the future.

The second quarter details show that KLX's results were in line with expectations despite a bit of late June white space. Revenue was up 15.6% from the first quarter, and adjusted EBITDA margin improved to 11.2%. The improvement from Q1 was driven by normalization of seasonal impacts, higher activity levels yielding better utilization, and better absorption of cost structure, along with one month of contribution from Wolfpack.

KLX's President and CEO emphasized that these accomplishments reinforce the company's focus on profitable growth, disciplined execution, and creating long-term value for shareholders. With a strong Q2 performance under its belt, KLX is poised to continue driving growth and innovation in the energy services sector.
