Legacy Housing Corporation Posts Robust Q3 2026 Earnings, Driven by Strong Product Sales and Efficient Operations
The Legacy Housing Corporation has reported a stellar third quarter of 2026, with total net revenue increasing by 72.2% to $69.7 million compared to the same period last year.
As per the company's Q3 2026 conference call transcript, the significant growth in revenue was driven primarily by a 92% surge in product sales to $55.2 million. This increase can be attributed to the sale of 635 homes during the quarter, up from 420 units sold in the same period last year.
The company's Heritage Housing stores played a crucial role in driving sales growth while making room for the introduction of their 2027 models, which began shipping in July. Notably, the gross margin on product sales rose by 16.7 percentage points to 36.9% compared to 20.2% in the previous year's quarter.
"This improvement reflected a shift in product mix together with the price increases we implemented during 2026," stated Jon Langbert, Chief Financial Officer of Legacy Housing Corporation.
The company also experienced a significant increase in other revenue, primarily due to the gain on the sale of a mobile home park that was taken as collateral. Net income for the quarter reached $20.1 million or $0.85 per diluted share, compared to $8.6 million or $0.35 per diluted share in Q3 2025.
In terms of liquidity and capital management, Legacy Housing ended the quarter with a healthy balance sheet. The company held $30.8 million in cash plus $5.3 million in short-term CDs, totaling $36.1 million. Operating cash flow for the first nine months reached $35.3 million, nearly double that of the same period last year.
Legacy Housing's commitment to capital discipline is reflected in its prudent use of working capital items. Customer deposits rose to $10.3 million from $1.8 million at year-end, reflecting advanced deposits under large contracts, while accounts receivable increased to $30.4 million from $5.5 million, due to invoices payable within 35 days.
The company's focus on growth and expansion is evident in its pipeline of opportunities, including housing for large construction and industrial sites, HUD-code homes, and park rentals. These units are typically higher specification and more complex to build, underscoring the value that customers place on Legacy Housing's ability to deliver large quantities on compressed schedules.
