Li Auto Surges into Growth Trajectory: Record Deliveries, Flagship SUV Revamp, and AI-Driven Innovation
Li Auto has made a remarkable start to 2026, delivering record numbers of vehicles while revamping its flagship SUV lineup with cutting-edge technology. In the first quarter of this year, Li Auto returned to its top position in sales among Chinese brands in the Chinese new energy vehicle market, priced at RMB 200,000 and above.
Monthly sales of the company's BEV model, the L6 i6, have stabilized at 20,000 units per month, ranking top 3 among all BEV SUVs. This momentum has been driven by the successful launch of the all-new Li L9 on May 15th, which has secured over 10,000 orders within just two weeks.
The Li L9 comes in two trims, Livis and Ultra, priced at RMB 509,800 and RMB 459,800 respectively. Its primary goal is to achieve the market position of a flagship SUV, with important aspects such as styling, suspension and chassis, range extender, and electric powertrain set to a new standard.
With Li L9's successful debut, self-developed chip MaHec M100, and large model Mahec VLA have been successfully integrated and deployed on vehicles. This marks an important milestone in the company's development, as it is the first time a single chip has delivered all functions stably on its maiden voyage in China.
The Mahec M100 chip, with five nanometer car-grade AI reasoning chip, uses AI native dynamic data flow architecture. Its innovative deployment mode and superior computing power have created long-term technical barriers for Li Auto. Moreover, through software and hardware integrated design, the Mahec M100 chip can achieve triple-effective calculation improvement at a similar cost.
Li Auto's CFO, Li Xiang, introduced the company's financial performance, maintaining a 20% growth target for this year. As the company continues to drive innovation in AI-driven technology, it is poised for continued success and expansion into new markets.
