Mercury Systems Soars to Record Heights in Q4 2026 with Stunning Organic Growth and Margin Expansion

Mercury Systems, a leading provider of high-performance processing solutions for critical defense and aerospace applications, has just reported its most impressive quarterly results yet. In Q4 2026, the company delivered record bookings, record backlog, record revenue, and robust free cash flow, marking a significant milestone in its growth trajectory.

According to the Q4 2026 conference call transcript, Mercury Systems' Chairman and CEO, Bill Ballhaus, attributed these remarkable results to the company's solid execution and strong demand signals. The CEO expressed his gratitude to the customers for their collaborative partnership and the trust they put in Mercury to support their most critical programs.

One of the standout highlights from the quarter was the record bookings of $660 million, up 93.1% year-over-year and nearly double the previous record. This impressive performance reflects the company's ongoing focus on its four priority areas: performance excellence, growth, margin expansion, and free cash flow.

Mercury Systems also reported a record backlog of over $1.9 billion and a record next 12-month backlog of $1 billion. The company's adjusted EBITDA of $49 million and adjusted EBITDA margin of 16.7% further demonstrate its commitment to delivering strong financial performance.

The CEO highlighted the company's ability to convert backlog to revenue and gain additional orders beyond current backlog, citing this as a key driver of its growth. Mercury Systems' focus on sound execution, efficient scaling, and customer satisfaction has enabled it to achieve remarkable organic revenue growth of 7.9% and adjusted EBITDA growth of 25.7% in fiscal year 2026.

Notably, the company's free cash flow drivers continued to progress, with net working capital down 4% year-over-year while revenue grew 7.9%. This strong financial performance has enabled Mercury Systems to end Q4 with $227 million of net debt, a reduction of 19.5% year-over-year.

As the company looks ahead to fiscal year 2027 and beyond, it is clear that Mercury Systems is poised for continued growth and success. With its strong track record of delivering high-performance processing solutions and its focus on customer satisfaction, the company is well-positioned to capitalize on emerging trends and opportunities in the defense and aerospace markets.
