TORM Delivers Record-Breaking Q2 Results: Exceptional Market Conditions and Strong Platform Drive Success

In a show of strength, TORM has reported its strongest-ever second quarter, driven by exceptional market conditions and the company's integrated operating model.

During the quarter, the company generated $512 million in TCE earnings, more than doubling the level achieved in the same period last year. The EBITDA came out to be $416 million, while net profit reached $338 million, highlighting both the strength of the market and the operating leverage embedded in the One TORM platform.

The company's CEO, Jacob Meldgaard, emphasized that this success is a result of their integrated operating model, which aligns commercial, technical, and operational decisions across the organization. This approach allows them to react quickly to changing market conditions, optimize fleet deployment, and consistently capture opportunities as they emerge.

A unified organization and centralized decision-making process also contribute to TORM's success, creating accountability, improving utilization, and supporting disciplined cost management throughout the business. These efforts have led to measurable results, with TORM's MR fleet generating more than $200 million of additional TCE earnings compared to the peer average over the period from 2023 through 2025.

Despite these strong quarterly results, TORM remains committed to active fleet renewal and disciplined capital allocation. Recent investments in retail and new-building vessels demonstrate their confidence in the long-term fundamentals of the product tanker market while ensuring that they maintain a modern and efficient fleet.

The company's approach to fleet growth has always been driven by value creation and customer needs. With secondhand vessel prices continuing to increase, TORM now sees attractive opportunities in new buildings and has established a phased pipeline of resale and new-building deliveries from 2027 through 2029, potentially extending into 2030.

These initiatives have not come at the expense of shareholder returns. TORM's approach remains to balance growth and investment with attractive cash distributions, ensuring that shareholders benefit from both today's earnings and tomorrow's value creation.

The company's record-breaking Q2 results reflect exceptionally strong freight markets following heightened geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and the resulting disruption to global oil trade flows. This has supported freight rates across all vessel classes, translating into higher TCE earnings for TORM.

Reflecting these exceptional market conditions, TORM is increasing its full-year guidance, expecting to generate the highest annual TCE earnings in the company's history, surpassing all previous years.

In light of this success, the board has approved an interim dividend of $2.4 per share, corresponding to a total distribution of $246 million.
