Agora Inc.'s Q2 2026 Earnings: Accelerating Growth and Conversational AI Advancements

Agora Inc., a leading provider of real-time engagement solutions, has reported another quarter of accelerating top-line growth, as well as its seventh consecutive quarter of GAAP profitability. In its second-quarter earnings call on August 13th, 2026, Tony Zhao, Founder, Chairman, and CEO, announced total revenues for the quarter reached $40.4 million, an increase of 18% year-over-year.

This growth reflects both the continued strength of Agora's core Real-Time Engagement business and the growing contribution from its Conversational AI products, as more customers move from proof-of-concept to commercial production. The company's GAAP net profit for the quarter was $2.2 million, up 50% year-over-year, demonstrating improved operating leverage and disciplined cost management across organizations.

A key highlight of the quarter was the strong momentum in adoption of Agora's voice AI agents trained on the best sales and customer service playbooks. These agents deliver consistent high-quality performance across every conversation, without experiencing fatigue or varying in performance based on workload or time of day.

One notable example is outbound marketing and buyer interest capture, where Agora's voice AI agents are used to initiate calls, qualify leads, collect information, and schedule meetings with prospect customers. At a similar conversion rate with human reps, the voice AI agent outperforms in two other important areas: the volume of calls they can handle and the unit economics they deliver.

Another example is market surveying, where Agora's voice AI agent can conduct in-depth interviews for consumer insights and product feedbacks while capturing structured data throughout each conversation. The high concurrency of their solution compresses the time it takes to conduct large-scale surveys that traditionally take weeks or days into just a few hours.

Agora sees similar opportunities in financial services outreach, gaming user acquisition and retention, debt collection, and many other areas. They are already working with customers across these sectors, and expect several of them to move from proof-of-concept to large-scale deployment in the coming quarters.

The company continues to invest in its developer ecosystem, launching Agora Skills and Agora CLI this quarter. These tools make it easier for both human developers and AI coding agents to build and deploy Real-Time Engagement applications with Agora. They are also strengthening their technology ecosystem through strategic partnerships, including a recent partnership with Gradient, a leading voice AI platform.

Looking ahead, Agora will remain laser-focused on accelerating the transition of its conversational AI solutions from pilot to production across use cases. With these advancements and continued investment in its developer ecosystem, Agora is well-positioned for future growth and success.
