Allied Gold Shines in Q2 2026 with Strong Performance Across Key Jurisdictions
As reported on its recent conference call transcript, Allied Gold has delivered a robust performance in the second quarter of 2026, showcasing its unique position as a mid-tier gold producer underpinned by high-quality assets.
In his opening remarks, CEO Peter Marrone highlighted the company's presence across three key jurisdictions: Mali, Côte d'Ivoire, and Ethiopia. He noted that Mali is 'prolific' for precious metals mining, with significant infrastructure in place to support operations. Similarly, Côte d'Ivoire has emerged as a new player in the mining circle, with opportunities abounding, particularly at the Bonikro and Agbaou complexes.
Meanwhile, Ethiopia marks a maiden voyage into precious metals mining for the company, with its Kurmuk mine set to begin production this quarter. According to Marrone, Kurmuk is expected to produce at least 250,000 ounces per year, adding significant firepower to Allied Gold's production platform.
The CEO emphasized that the value proposition extends beyond individual assets, highlighting the unique combination of high-quality mines and operational improvements driving momentum into the second half of the year. With Kurmuk set to start producing in September, Allied Gold is poised to achieve annual guidance from its producing mines, driven by higher feed grade and throughput increases at Sadiola.
"This quarter, we expect to be in production [at Kurmuk] in the month of September," Marrone declared, underscoring the company's confidence in its operational performance. Bonikro is also expected to see improved feed grades in the second half of the year, further buttressing Allied Gold's position as a mid-tier gold producer.
The company's overall production platform carries approximately 200,000 ounces, with plans to increase this to closer to 350,000 ounces over the next few years. With a strong focus on operational improvements and new mine development, Allied Gold is well-placed to capitalize on opportunities in its key jurisdictions.
