AptarGroup Hits Stride with Double-Digit Growth Across Segments

AptarGroup, a leading global provider of active packaging, dispensing, and beauty solutions, has announced its second quarter 2026 results, showcasing double-digit growth across all three segments: Pharma, Beauty, and Closures. The company's adjusted earnings per share (EPS) surpassed guidance range, thanks to better-than-expected performance in the Pharma segment.

Speaking on the conference call, Stephan Tanda, President and CEO, emphasized AptarGroup's position of strength as it enters its next chapter under Gaël Touya's leadership. "Aptar is fortunate to have an exceptional team, a strong culture founded in performance and purpose, a consistent focus on execution, innovation, agility, and value creation," he stated.

The Pharma segment continued to shine, driven by strong demand across injectables, consumer healthcare, and prescription businesses. Injectables saw momentum thanks to elastomeric components used for biologics, vaccines, and GLP-1 therapies. According to a recent survey, 11% of Americans are currently taking GLP-1 for weight loss, up from just 3% in 2024.

Consumer healthcare benefited from robust sales of nasal decongestion and eye care solutions, while prescriptions grew in central nervous system therapeutics and asthma COPD applications. These gains helped offset the anticipated decline in emergency medicines due to destocking.

Beyond Pharma, Beauty posted double-digit core sales growth in prestige fragrance, while Closures saw strong beverage demand, particularly in bottled water. Operational performance improved progressively from the first quarter across both segments.

Looking ahead, AptarGroup continues to strengthen its pipeline and long-term growth prospects in the Pharma segment. The company is expanding its capabilities beyond delivery systems to include formulation development, analytical services, regulatory support, and patient engagement. Recent patent applications related to inhaled and nasal GLP-1 therapies demonstrate AptarGroup's commitment to exploring new growth opportunities.

AptarGroup's leadership transition to Gaël Touya on September 1 marks a new chapter for the company. Tanda expressed confidence in his successor, stating, "I am assured in the future success of the company and excited as a shareholder." With its strong foundation, AptarGroup is poised to continue delivering profitable growth and creating long-term value for shareholders.
