ASML Records Record-Breaking Q3 2026 with EUR 11.7 Billion in Revenue
Amsterdam, Netherlands - October 14, 2026
In a strong demonstration of its market leadership, ASML Holding NV recorded a record-breaking third quarter (Q3) for the year 2026. The company's Q3 results exceeded expectations, with net sales coming in at EUR 11.7 billion, driven largely by installed base revenue and upgrade business.
According to Roger Dassen, Executive Vice President of ASML, the strong demand from customers was a key driver behind the impressive quarterly performance. "The primary driver for that higher number [EUR 3.3 billion installed base revenue] was indeed the desire of our customers to provide upgrades on their installed base," he said during the company's Q3 2026 results conference call.
ASML's gross margin for the quarter stood at a healthy 57.5%, with the company expecting an even higher margin in Q4, around 57%. The strong execution and excellent market demand are expected to carry over into the full year 2026, with sales now expected to be between EUR 44 billion and EUR 45 billion.
It's worth noting that ASML's EUV business grew an impressive 45% this year, while non-EUV business is expected to grow around 20%. The installed base business, meanwhile, is expected to see a 50% growth. The strong performance in these areas has led to an improved outlook for the company's gross margin, with expectations now set at 56% for the full year.
Christophe Fouquet, President of ASML, highlighted the positive impact of higher value-based pricing on the company's future prospects. "We completed those conversations [with key customers]... The effect of that is not really visible in 2026," he said during the conference call. "It will start to become visible partly in the course of 2027. I think the full impact of that you will start to see in 2028 and beyond."
ASML's customers, meanwhile, are showing strong signs of confidence in their investment plans, with many announcing new fabs and accelerating their capacity expansion plans. "Today, they expect that their supply will not meet the demand at least until 2028," Fouquet said. This trend is expected to translate into even more demand for ASML's holistic product portfolio.
