ASUR Takes Flight: Expanding Horizons as Leading International Airport Operator

ASUR, a leading international airport operator across the Americas, has marked an important milestone in its journey with the completion of the acquisition of CPC Aeroportos from Motiva. This strategic move has added 20 airports to ASUR's portfolio, including 17 airports in Brazil, one in Ecuador, Costa Rica, and Curaçao.

The combined airport portfolio now spans 36 airports across seven countries, complemented by commercial operations at three major U.S. airports. On a pro forma basis, the collective airport portfolio served approximately 120 million passengers in 2025, a significant increase from 70 million reported last year.

Adolfo Castro, Chief Executive Officer of ASUR, highlighted that this acquisition has evolved the company into the leading international airport operator across the Americas. With a broader business scope, ASUR now has a more diversified presence, reducing its dependence on one market and providing opportunities to apply its operating and commercial experience.

The final purchase price for CPC Aeroportos was BRL 5.5 billion, or approximately $992 million, after customary closing adjustments. The acquisition brings new markets into play for ASUR, including Brazil, Latin America's largest aviation market. This move is expected to provide more opportunities for growth and development.

ASUR's focus now shifts towards implementing seamless integration while maintaining its disciplined approach to investment. Changes are being made to the organizational structure to better support the growing business. The company has also approved bringing in-house the technical assistance technology transfer service provided by ITA, which will simplify the structure and keep expertise within the company.

The U.S. commercial business is another area of growth for ASUR, with a focus on non-regulated dollar-denominated commercial revenues at JFK, LAX, and Chicago O'Hare airports. The next major project is the new Terminal 1, expected to be open toward the end of the first quarter next year.

Despite the expansion into new markets, Mexico remains central to ASUR's business and investment program. Within Mexico, Cancún is an important market with significant investments on the way to improve operational efficiencies and support future growth.
