ATRenew Inc. Shines in Q2 2026 with Robust Growth and Market Shifts

ATRenew Inc., a leading player in the secondhand consumer electronics industry, has reported an impressive set of results for the second quarter of 2026. The company's total net revenues exceeded expectations, growing by 32.4% year-over-year to CNY 6.61 billion.

In a conference call held on August 20th, Kerry Chen, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of ATRenew Inc., highlighted the key external shifts and trends that are driving growth in the industry. According to him, the decline in new device sales has actually had an unexpected benefit for the recycling business. When new devices sell well, trade-in programs become less important, but when demand slows down, these initiatives take center stage.

Chen also noted that microeconomic headwinds have led to increased demand for high-quality, affordable pre-owned smartphones and other secondhand products. This trend is reflected in the sustained growth of ATRenew's curated B2C business.

The company has been committed to compliant operations, which benefits its 1P (first-party) business as tighter regulations disproportionately impact smaller operators. Additionally, China's shift from a net importer to a net exporter of pre-owned smartphones is creating new opportunities for the industry.

ATRenew Inc.'s focus on 1P business has paid off, with product revenue growing by 35.9% year-over-year to CNY 6.19 billion. Non-GAAP operating profit grew 70.1% year-over-year to CNY 210 million, while non-GAAP operating profit margin expanded by 69 basis points year-over-year to 3.1%.

The company's emphasis on trust and efficiency in its 1P model has allowed it to tap into the growing demand for secondhand consumer electronics. ATRenew Inc.'s results demonstrate its ability to adapt to changing market conditions and capitalize on emerging trends.
