Autodesk Delivers Strong Q2 Performance, Raises Guidance as Project Intelligence Strategy Takes Shape

Autodesk has reported another strong quarter, exceeding guidance ranges for revenue and earnings per share. The company's fiscal year 2027 second-quarter results demonstrate the effectiveness of its strategy to build project intelligence across the asset life cycle.

The opportunity for project intelligence lies in extending the value of information from design, manufacturing, and construction into decades of operations. This enables smarter decisions, greater resilience, and continuous optimization. A recent enterprise deal signed with one of the world's largest retailers brings this strategy to life. The customer has selected Autodesk Forma as the common data environment connecting planning, design, construction, and operations across its portfolio in North America.

Autodesk Tandem has also been chosen as the digital twin platform for this project. By capturing and validating as-built conditions, the customer is improving the fidelity of its asset data and creating a trusted digital foundation required to support long-term operational value. Forma helps create a continuous flow of project intelligence between design intent and operational reality, while Tandem combines design and construction data to create a digital twin that evolves alongside the physical assets it represents.

The deployment of Autodesk solutions in this project is not an isolated instance. Rather, it reflects a broader shift as owners move beyond digitizing projects to generating project intelligence across the entire asset life cycle. As design, manufacturing, construction, and operations converge around a shared digital foundation, project intelligence creates a continuous feedback loop that informs how the next generation of assets is designed, built, and operated.

Andrew Anagnost, CEO of Autodesk, stated during the conference call that 'our strategy, strong execution, and the compounding benefits from the business model changes we have made over the years continue to be reflected in the performance of the business.' The company has raised its full-year billings and revenue outlook to reflect the second-quarter outperformance and stronger expectations for the second half.

Janesh Moorjani, CFO, will discuss the quarterly financial performance and guidance during the conference call. Amy Bunszel, EVP of Architecture, Engineering, and Construction Solutions, announced her plan to retire after 23 years with Autodesk. Her contributions to the company's success have been invaluable, and her retirement marks a significant milestone in the company's history.
