A recent conference call by Aytu BioPharma provided insight into the company's fiscal 2026 fourth quarter results, showcasing promising growth potential for its flagship product, EXXUA, and its ADHD business.

Josh Disbrow, Chief Executive Officer of Aytu BioPharma, expressed his excitement about the progress made and the opportunity ahead for the company. He highlighted that EXXUA, a selective serotonin 5-HT1A receptor agonist approved by the FDA for treating major depressive disorder in adults, has a substantial market potential with an estimated 21 million Americans affected and a U.S. prescription MDD market exceeding $22 billion.

According to Disbrow, the early results of EXXUA's launch are encouraging, with physicians gaining experience, patients continuing treatment, and the prescription base expanding. These developments reinforce the company's conviction in EXXUA's potential as an important treatment option and a major growth driver for Aytu BioPharma.

The company's approach to launching EXXUA has been methodical, focusing on productivity, return on commercial investment, and preserving cash. The fourth quarter results demonstrate that this strategy is working, with EXXUA generating $3.9 million of net revenue in the period, up from $2.4 million in the third quarter, and contributing $6.6 million to fiscal 2026.

Disbrow also discussed the company's ADHD business, noting its notable durability and significant contribution to the company's results. The total prescriptions for EXXUA increased significantly during the June quarter, from 1,398 in March to 3,323 by the end of the period, with a monthly progression of 973 prescriptions in April, 1,089 in May, and 1,261 in June.
