BWXT Seizes Momentum in Nuclear Market with Strong Q2 2026 Performance

BWX Technologies (BWX Technologies), a leading provider of nuclear solutions and services, has reported another strong quarter in its second fiscal quarter 2026 performance. According to the company's recent conference call transcript, revenue increased by 18%, driven by organic growth of 9%, while adjusted EBITDA grew 7% and adjusted earnings per share rose 5%.

The company's President and CEO, Russ Jevnin, attributed this success to "excellent execution across the company" and continued momentum in commercial nuclear. He also emphasized that demand for nuclear solutions is building across national security and global commercial power markets.

BWXT's strategic position within the nuclear industry has been further bolstered by recent transactions. The sale of its medical business to Nordic Capital at a valuation of up to $800 million, enables the company to focus on its core nuclear businesses while placing the medical business with an owner dedicated to accelerating its growth.

Additionally, the acquisition of Precision Components Group (PCG) in early July has established an important commercial nuclear manufacturing platform for BWXT. The company's customers have provided very positive feedback on the acquired capabilities, which also create opportunities to bring outsourced work in-house and generate near-term synergies.

Beyond PCG, BWXT is evaluating its next phase of U.S. commercial manufacturing expansion. With a growing pipeline of heavy nuclear equipment proposals from multiple SMR and large reactor OEMs across various technologies, the company is poised for further growth. A $21 million award from the DOE to support domestic manufacturing capacity expansion also supports this strategy.

The company's President and CEO, Russ Jevnin highlighted the industry's potential for a multi-decade "super cycle" of growth, with BWXT well-positioned to benefit from it. He emphasized that the company faces the market from a position of strength, with exposure across the nuclear value chain and over 75 years of nuclear experience.

These developments demonstrate BWX Technologies' commitment to capturing opportunities in the growing nuclear market. With a strong track record of execution and strategic positioning, the company is well-positioned for continued growth and success.
