Carlisle Companies Achieves Strong Demand and Resilient Growth Amidst Market Volatility
Carlisle Companies, a leading diversified manufacturer of highly engineered products for the construction, aerospace, defense, medical, railroad, and automotive industries, has reported strong demand and resilient growth in its third quarter 2026 results. Despite significant market volatility, the company maintained high single-digit growth, with demand remaining resilient through its pricing actions.
Chris Koch, Chair of the Board, President, and CEO of Carlisle Companies, stated during the Q3 2026 earnings conference call that the company's third-quarter results build on the strong demand seen in quarter 2. The company remains focused on superior capital allocation and is committed to its Vision 2030 priorities.
One key area of focus for Carlisle Companies as it enters the fourth quarter is price cost, margins, demand, and the competitive environment. On pricing, the company addressed the cost increases that began in quarter 1 with multiple price increases and freight surcharges. Despite unanticipated cost increases in Q3, which pushed the timing of achieving parity out by one quarter, price realization and freight surcharges are gaining meaningful traction.
Citing the impact of increased oil and diesel costs on its raw materials and freight, Carlisle Companies stated that it now expects to reach price cost parity as it exits 2026. This assumes stability in input costs and freight, as well as no further deterioration in global markets.
The company's adjusted EBITDA held at $348 million on 9% revenue growth, with volume leverage and Carlisle Operating System productivity helping to offset inflation. However, the unexpected cost increases in Q3 resulted in margins declining more than expected. The drivers of margin expansion remain intact, including increasing price realization, freight offsets, Carlisle Operating System productivity, CWT efficiency programs, operating leverage, and new products.
In terms of demand, reroofing at CCM continues to be a consistent mid-single-digit contributor, as it has been for decades. Data centers continue to build momentum driven by the company's newly formed and dedicated data center market team. The premium TPO portfolio and manufacturing capacity are benefiting data center customers as PVC supply remains constrained and these customers discover the excellent attributes of TPO for data center roofs.
The trend towards premium TPO systems on data centers is expected to continue to increase, according to Carlisle Companies. Overall, despite market volatility, the company's commitment to superior capital allocation and its Vision 2030 priorities has allowed it to achieve strong demand and resilient growth in Q3 2026."
