Carlisle Companies Delivers Record-Breaking Second Quarter Results Amidst Challenging Macro Environments
Carlisle Companies, a leading provider of innovative roofing and insulation solutions, has reported its second quarter 2026 financial results, showcasing the company's relentless focus on execution and operational discipline. Despite facing significant headwinds in the form of inflation and supply chain disruptions stemming from the conflict in the Middle East, Carlisle Companies managed to deliver record-breaking revenue and adjusted earnings per share (EPS).
According to Kevin Zdimal, CFO, the company's revenue reached a record $1.6 billion, an 8% increase year-over-year. This growth was driven by solid performance across both the Carlisle Construction Materials (CCM) and Carlisle WeatherTight Technologies (CWT) segments. Adjusted EPS increased 12% to a record $7.03, demonstrating the company's commitment to operational excellence.
The Carlisle Operating System productivity improvements, disciplined cost management, and synergies from recent acquisitions helped offset some of the pressure from rising raw material and freight costs. The company has announced three broad-based price increases and implemented freight surcharges since the start of the conflict to mitigate these effects.
As expected, the impact of higher raw materials and freight costs on pricing realization led to a negative margin in the second quarter. However, Carlisle Companies anticipates that its pricing actions will yield positive benefits in the second half of 2026, turning positive in Q4.
CCM delivered record revenue of $1.2 billion, an increase of 8% year-over-year, driven by healthy reroofing demand and strong commercial execution. Adjusted EBITDA increased 5% to $363 million, with a margin of 30.7%, down 90 basis points year-over-year.
The company's ability to navigate challenging macro environments while delivering record-breaking results is a testament to its operational discipline and commitment to creating long-term value for shareholders. As Chris Koch, President and CEO, noted in his prepared remarks, Carlisle Companies remains focused on executing its strategic initiatives and driving innovation in the roofing and insulation industry.
The company's updated outlook for the full year 2026 reflects its confidence in its ability to continue delivering strong results despite ongoing headwinds. With a proven track record of resilience and adaptability, Carlisle Companies is poised to remain a leader in the roofing and insulation market.
