Dominion Energy Surges Ahead: Strong Financials and Robust Growth

Dominion Energy, a leading energy company, has delivered strong financial results in the third quarter of 2026. The company's operating earnings have exceeded expectations, with $1.28 per share for the quarter, driven by RNG 45Z credits and better-than-normal weather.

"We continue to demonstrate success against our top priorities," said Steven Ridge, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. "Our focus on financial commitments, construction milestones for the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind Project, and regulatory outcomes has yielded positive results."

The company's financial performance was also boosted by better-than-budgeted sales, higher-than-expected 45Z credit income, and strong overall execution. As a result, Dominion Energy now expects full-year results to be in the top half of its original guidance range.

"We are confident in our ability to deliver on our promises," said Ridge. "Our financial guidance for the fourth quarter remains unchanged, including credit, dividend, and long-term growth projections."

On the financing front, Dominion Energy made significant progress during the quarter, executing several planned transactions while managing its balance sheet consistent with robust credit guidance. The company also secured approval from the Virginia State Corporation Commission for a fuel securitization financing petition, worth approximately $900 million.

The energy demand in the service areas has remained strong, with LTM weather-normal electric sales growth of 3.4% across DEV and DESC. Dominion Energy's differentiated data center customers have driven robust and durable demand across multiple localities in Virginia.

"Our approach to managing these high-quality customers has ensured that existing customers are protected from cost shifts while mitigating stranded cost risk," said Ridge. "We have over 54 GW of data center capacity in various stages of contracting, including over 12 GW under electric service agreements."

Dominion Energy's commitment to sustainability and innovation is evident in its Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind Project, which continues to make progress towards major construction milestones. The company's ability to work cooperatively with regulators and stakeholders has also been demonstrated through its successful negotiations for regulatory outcomes.
