Elauwit Surpasses Milestones in Contracted Units and Activated Networks
Elauwit, a leading provider of communication services, has announced impressive second-quarter results that underscore the company's commitment to growth and execution. As reported during their Q2 2026 conference call on August 18th, Elauwit achieved record year-over-year and quarter-over-quarter increases in contracted units.
The significant milestone was marked by almost 5,900 new units across 21 properties being contracted in the second quarter alone, representing a 16% quarterly increase and a staggering 33% annual rise. This brings the total number of contracted units to nearly 43,000 as of June 30th.
Elauwit's Chief Executive Officer, Barry Rubens, highlighted the company's focus on execution and its efforts to drive long-term recurring service revenue. The sales activity shows the traction in these efforts, with year-to-date signings exceeding 10,000 units, indicating a robust start to the third quarter.
Notably, activated units also grew substantially, rising 94% year-over-year, and billed units increased 163% year-over-year. Although revenue declined in the short term due to the timing of construction contracts for new networks, Elauwit believes it remains on track to its full-year goals.
The company's ability to scale and smooth out quarters is expected to improve as construction projects become more evenly distributed throughout the year. With a robust pipeline of potential new contract awards and verbally awarded contracts ahead of formal contracting, Elauwit appears poised for continued growth.
Elauwit's Chief Executive Chairman, Dan McDonough, emphasized that contracted units are the most important KPI the company tracks. With this metric serving as a key indicator of business performance, it is clear that Elauwit remains committed to delivering strong results and exceeding 50,000 units under contract before year-end.
Elauwit's Q2 2026 financial results demonstrate the company's dedication to growth, execution, and customer satisfaction. As the communication services landscape continues to evolve, Elauwit appears well-positioned to capitalize on emerging trends and drive long-term success.
