Eve Holding Soars to New Heights in Q2 2026 with Groundbreaking Test Flights and Transition Milestones
Eve Holding, a leading innovator in urban air mobility, has announced impressive results in its second quarter of 2026. During the company's recent earnings conference call, CEO Johann Bordais and CFO Eduardo Couto shared key highlights from the quarter, showcasing significant progress towards their mission to revolutionize transportation.
One of the most notable achievements was the successful completion of ground tests on the full-scale prototype, paving the way for transition flights. These tests involved rigorous software upgrades, integration of critical systems, and thorough testing of components, including fly-by-wire and fixed-pitch lifter rotors. The company also reported a total of 66 test flights, logging an impressive two hours, 46 minutes of airtime.
Perhaps the most exciting development was the transition to partial transition flights, where the prototype gradually accelerated by engaging the pusher while maintaining lifters powered on. This marked a significant milestone in Eve Holding's journey towards achieving its ultimate mission: taking off vertically, transitioning to wing-borne flight, and then transitioning back to vertical flight for landing procedures.
As reported during the conference call, the prototype successfully engaged the pusher at low RPMs, reaching speeds of 30 knots (approximately 35 miles per hour). This progress sets the stage for further acceleration, with planned increases in speed up to 60, 80, and 90 knots. The lifters will eventually be powered off, allowing the aircraft to fly solely on its wing, a major step towards achieving Eve Holding's vision.
"We had a good quarter with several milestones demonstrating steady progress," said Johann Bordais, CEO of Eve Holding. "The successful completion of ground tests and transition flights are a testament to our team's dedication and expertise in pushing the boundaries of urban air mobility."
The company also highlighted its ongoing efforts to engage with certification authorities, partners, and stakeholders. This includes the announcement of new LOI agreements at the Farnborough Airshow, further solidifying Eve Holding's position as a leader in the industry.
Eve Holding's Q2 2026 results demonstrate significant progress towards achieving its ambitious goals. As the company continues to push the boundaries of urban air mobility, investors and analysts will be closely watching for future developments. With its commitment to innovation and safety, Eve Holding is poised to revolutionize transportation and transform the way people move around cities.
