FedEx Accelerates Transformation with Strong Q3 Performance

FedEx Corporation, the world's largest express transportation company, has reported a stellar third quarter performance, solidifying its position as a leader in the logistics industry. In a recent conference call, the company's executives shared their enthusiasm for the results, citing strong revenue growth across key business verticals and premium customer segments.

According to Raj Subramaniam, President and CEO of FedEx, the company has delivered another strong quarter, driven by significant free cash flow and momentum towards its 2029 financial commitments. The third quarter saw double-digit growth in consolidated adjusted operating income, supported by revenue growth across key B2B verticals and premium B2C.

"We're serving our customers well, driving significant free cash flow, and sustaining momentum toward our 2029 financial commitments," Subramaniam said. "Our data and technology advantage continues to drive value-added services for existing and new customers."

One of the key highlights of the quarter was the growth in premium B2C revenue, which supported double-digit growth in consolidated adjusted operating income. This performance is a testament to FedEx's ability to adapt to changing customer needs and capitalize on emerging trends.

The company has also made significant strides in transforming its network and operations. The introduction of Network 2.0 has enabled greater density, flexibility, and efficiency across the business. In addition, the optimization of its European network and global air freight strategy have further enhanced FedEx's ability to serve customers.

"From Network 2.0 to the optimization of our European network to our global air freight strategy, we continue to transform FedEx," Subramaniam said. "These initiatives are driving greater density, flexibility, and efficiency, while also enabling us to deploy our assets more effectively."

In terms of strategic actions, FedEx has taken meaningful steps to become a more focused company. The successful spin-off of FedEx Freight in June was followed by the sale of FedEx Supply Chain to CMA CGM Group earlier this month. The company is nearing completion of the InPost transaction, which will provide access to an expansive European B2C network and enable the deployment of assets across the European B2B space.

These moves are expected to drive strong adjusted free cash flow, which in turn will be used to reward shareholders. Since June, FedEx has repurchased $2 billion worth of its stock, with September's repurchases exceeding original plans.

"With this cash generation, we are focused on rewarding our stockholders," Subramaniam said. "Our conviction in the substantial value that exists in our shares is reflected in these repurchases."

Looking ahead to 2026, FedEx has raised its adjusted earnings per share (EPS) guidance to $18 to $18.60, representing a 23% year-over-year growth for the full calendar year. This revised outlook reflects the company's confidence in its ability to deliver strong results and drive value for shareholders.
