Fermi America Powers Ahead: Delivering on Commitments and Shaping the Future of AI Compute

Fermi America, a leading innovator in advanced energy and AI ecosystems, has reported impressive progress in its second quarter 2026 earnings call. Chairman Marius Haas highlighted the company's strong position, having delivered on all five key commitments outlined 90 days ago.

At the heart of Fermi's strategy is addressing the binding constraint on AI compute: access to large-scale, reliable electricity. With delays reported across announced projects worldwide, driven by grid interconnection queues and equipment availability, Fermi has seized this challenge as an opportunity to create value for its shareholders.

The first objective, securing a binding customer agreement, was crucial in demonstrating the company's ability to deliver on its commitments. A binding agreement representing up to 650 megawatts of power has been signed, with the backstop agreement being finalized. This achievement speaks directly to the value Fermi has discussed since its IPO and sets the stage for future growth.

Additionally, Lee McIntire, a seasoned leader in delivering large-scale projects, has been appointed as CEO effective this Tuesday. With his extensive experience at Bechtel, McDermott, and TerraPower, Lee is uniquely positioned to lead Fermi's efforts in getting power to the site by 2027.

Strategic partnerships have also been advanced during the quarter, with EPC partnerships announced with Primoris for balance of plant on phase one and TSK for early works engineering on phase two. Furthermore, a strategic alliance has been formed with Hilcorp, a premier infrastructure and power provider, which will accelerate the delivery of power at speed for large-scale customers.

Fermi's progress demonstrates its commitment to executing on its vision and delivering value to its shareholders. The company's strategy has not changed, and as Lee McIntire joins the leadership team, the pace is expected to accelerate. As Fermi continues to power ahead, it is clear that this innovative company will remain at the forefront of shaping the future of AI compute.
