FocalTherics Sets Sights on Market Leadership with Record-Breaking Quarter

In its second quarter 2026 financial and operating results conference call, FocalTherics delivered another strong performance, solidifying its position as a market leader in the growing category of focal therapy.

Chief Executive Officer Ryan Rhodes highlighted the significance of this moment in the company's history, citing the transition from EDAP to FocalTherics, which debuts as a pure-play, high-growth, market-leading focal therapy company. This transformation has enabled the company to establish clarity in its financial reporting and align with its strategic priorities.

The company reported $13.2 million in HIFU revenue for the quarter, representing 39% year-over-year growth. This achievement was driven by 13 Focal One capital system sales, a 44% increase from the same period last year, making it the company's best second quarter ever for HIFU capital system sales globally.

FocalTherics' total worldwide install base now stands at 184 systems, with 96 in the U.S. and 88 internationally. This reflects the continued broadening of the company's global commercial footprint across hospitals in both academic and community settings.

In the U.S., FocalTherics recorded eight capital system sales, including two conversions from existing operating leases at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and the University of Michigan. These institutions are NCCN member institutions, NCI-designated comprehensive cancer centers, and SUO-approved fellowship programs. Adoption at leading academic institutions like these allows the next generation of urologists to gain hands-on training and exposure with Focal One through their accredited fellowship programs.

The company now has 15 U.S. hospital networks that have invested in two or more Focal One systems, including Cleveland Clinic, which marks its fourth placement within their worldwide healthcare network. Additionally, Kaiser Permanente expanded into the San Diego market following the strong performance of their first program in Los Angeles.

Internationally, FocalTherics delivered five capital system sales across Europe, India, and Latin America, reflecting the strength and continued expansion of its global commercial infrastructure. Notably, Imperial College London converted their HIFU activity from a competitive HIFU technology to Focal One.
