Gamehaus Takes Aim at New Opportunities with Strategic Transformation
Gamehaus, a leading game publisher, has announced its strategic transformation, shifting focus from traditional casual and social casino mobile games to new opportunities presented by generative AI.
In its fourth quarter and full year of fiscal 2026 earnings conference call, the company highlighted the structural shift in the economics of user acquisition for casual games. The player base in mature markets has remained stagnant, while platform attribution and targeting capabilities have weakened, leading to compressed margins in game publishing. This, Gamehaus believes, is a longer-term change in the environment surrounding this business model.
As a result, the company has proactively adjusted its resource allocation and redirected more resources toward new opportunities opened up by generative AI. In terms of execution, Gamehaus has changed the way it manages its existing portfolio of casual and social casino mobile games, with a greater focus on cash flow and profitability. User acquisition spending will also be reallocated across titles based on expected returns.
Key operating metrics this quarter already reflect this shift in focus. While both DAUs (Daily Active Users) and MAUs (Monthly Active Users) declined year-over-year in the fourth quarter, ARPDAU (Average Revenue Per Daily Active User) increased 11.6% to $0.577 from $0.517. Average daily payer conversion improved to 2.5% from 2.3%, indicating a more targeted and profitable user acquisition strategy.
Gamehaus expects revenue from its existing portfolio to gradually decline, reflecting the company's shift in focus. However, this transformation is expected to bring new opportunities for growth and profitability in the emerging generative AI market.
