**Goldman Sachs Delivers Record-Breaking Quarter Amidst Global Uncertainty**

The Goldman Sachs Group Inc. has reported a stellar third quarter, generating net revenues of $18.7 billion, the second highest in its history. Chairman and Chief Executive Officer David Solomon highlighted the company's strong performance during the conference call on October 13, 2026.

"We delivered very strong performance in the third quarter, generating net revenues of $18.7 billion, the second highest in our history, earnings per share of $17.01, an ROE of 18.7%, and an ROTE of 20.5%," Solomon stated.

The quarterly results included the impact of an accelerated charitable contribution, which would have resulted in approximately $18 EPS, a 20% ROE, and a 21.5% ROTE, excluding this contribution. Despite geopolitical tensions and inflation concerns, Goldman Sachs delivered record revenues for the year-to-date, driving an ROE of 20.7% and an ROTE of 22.4%. The company's robust performance was attributed to its strong corporate earnings growth, GDP growth of 2.2%, and a resilient labor market.

In global banking and markets, Goldman Sachs generated the second-highest revenues in its history, with advisory revenues reaching record levels. The company maintained its number one position in M&A, advising on $1.5 trillion of announced transactions for the year. Its backlog remains very robust, reflecting client engagement across its leading investment banking franchise.

In equities, Goldman delivered its second-best performance after last quarter's record results, with strength across both intermediation and financing. In FICC, the company supported clients' global risk intermediation needs across asset classes, amid sharp moves in rates and increased volatility in commodities. Financing activities have become a larger component of the company's markets businesses, representing over 40% of FICC and equities revenues year-to-date.

The dynamic market backdrop has also reinforced the importance of trusted advice and diversified investment solutions for asset and wealth management clients. Goldman Sachs' scaled and durable platform brings together leading investment capabilities across public and private markets, delivering them through deep institutional relationships, its ultra-premier high net worth wealth management franchise, and its expanding third-party distribution network.

The strength of this platform continues to drive exceptional growth at scale. In the third quarter, management and other fees increased 22% year-over-year to a record $3.6 billion and surpassed $10 billion for the year-to-date. The company's assets under supervision reached another record of $4.1 trillion, supported by $97 billion of long-term net inflows, representing its 35th consecutive quarter of inflows.

In wealth management, $47 billion of long-term net inflows contributed to record client assets of $2.1 trillion. For 2026, wealth management long-term net inflows are annualizing at 12%, well ahead of the company's 5% target, underscoring the strength of its client relationships built on trust and long-term performance.
