Good Times Restaurants Inc. Shines with Strong Q3 2026 Earnings

Good Times Restaurants Inc., a leading quick-service restaurant (QSR) chain, has reported impressive earnings for the third quarter of 2026. In a recent conference call, the company's executives shared exciting details about their performance and future plans.

The highlight of Good Times' Q3 2026 earnings was the significant shift in same-store sales to positive year-over-year growth. This trend has continued into the fourth fiscal quarter, indicating a strong recovery from previous quarters. Ryan Zink, Chief Executive Officer, attributed this success to the test and expansion of their $2 promotional price for Bambinos, simple cheeseburger sliders with sauce and pickles.

Introduced as a summer promotion, the $2 pricing has proven so successful that Good Times is considering extending its duration beyond the original end date. The promotion targets real value, guest choice, and fun eating experiences, differentiating itself from their large burgers. Interestingly, despite the significant opt-in for Bambinos, which have become the largest single burger item purchased, guests are supplementing these purchases with other items, indicating a positive overall average check increase.

Bad Daddy's sales, however, did not match Good Times' performance, and executives emphasized their commitment to developing new limited-time and permanent menu items to engage their customers. The Smashedilla Burger in May was a notable success, becoming the best-selling individual limited-time burger ever launched.

"It is exciting to report the shift of Good Times same-store sales to positive year-over-year," said Ryan Zink during the conference call. "What is equally encouraging is that this positive trend has continued on into the fourth fiscal quarter."

The company's focus on consistent execution, increasing friendliness and hospitality, and supplementing menu items with seasonal favorites and fresh news will likely contribute to their continued success in the QSR industry.
