Harmonic Accelerates Growth Momentum with Record-Breaking Q3 2026 Performance

Harmonic, a leading provider of virtualized distributed architecture and intelligence solutions for the media and entertainment industries, has reported a remarkable quarter in its third quarter 2026 financial results conference call. The company's performance was marked by strong execution, a breakout quarter, and significant growth momentum.

Nimrod Ben-Natan, President and CEO of Harmonic, outlined the company's strategy built on three growth engines: connectivity, intelligence, and edge AI compute. He emphasized that as AI agents generate an increasing share of internet traffic, the network must deliver more capacity, lower latency, and higher reliability. The largest AI platforms have begun launching always-on personal assistants, which has led to tighter latency demands on home broadband.

Ben-Natan highlighted that broadband remains hyper-competitive, with operators fighting for every subscriber while needing to deliver the best customer experience at reduced operating costs. This is where intelligence and SensAI come into play, providing a virtualized distributed architecture and enhanced quality of experience. The company's Rest-of-Market revenue more than doubled year-over-year, reaching a record 46% of total revenue.

Rest-of-Market also represented over 60% of Harmonic's bookings in the quarter, with nine new customers added across seven countries, spanning DOCSIS and fiber networks. Three of these customers are regional tier 1 operators. Liberty Latin America selected Harmonic for DOCSIS and fiber services, while TDC chose their platform for a unified DOCSIS 4.0 upgrade. Baycom, a major regional cable and broadband operator in Japan, also signed on with the company.

Harmonic's revenue grew 64% year-over-year to $148.8 million, exceeding the high end of its guidance. The company is expanding its customer base, increasing bookings, and raising its full-year 2026 outlook due to this performance and a more favorable environment. Harmonic continues to execute on its strategy, driving growth momentum in the media and entertainment industries.
