Intapp Delivers Defining Quarter with Firm AI Adoption Resonating Among Top Firms
Intapp, a leading provider of business applications for professional services firms, delivered a defining quarter in Q1 2027, marked by significant adoption of its Firm AI solution, Intapp Celeste. The company's Chairman and CEO, John Hall, highlighted the quarter's importance during the recent conference call, stating that it was a "defining quarter" for Intapp.
Firm AI is a key area of focus for professional firms today, with three categories of AI: horizontal AI, which speeds up everyday tasks; practice AI, which helps professionals with their individual work product; and Firm AI, which focuses on the business of the firm. Intapp's Firm AI solution, Celeste, has resonated at the very top of leading firms worldwide, with its Firm AI blueprint circulating among managing partners and management committees.
"Our job is to deliver Firm AI and to govern AI on behalf of the firm wherever the firm's people use it," stated John Hall. "Firm AI makes the firm bigger." The company's approach is centered around delivering value in deal screening, intake, conflicts, and time capture, which are critical areas for professional firms.
Since the general availability of Celeste on July 15, the company's pipeline has grown 2-3 times and has never been larger. Firms have started to deploy the solution, with more than 150 clients already activated DealCloud with Celeste. The success is consistent across industries, with firms expanding from initial adoption in deal screening, intake, and conflicts to other areas.
Firm AI generates revenue for Intapp through existing client upgrades, new clients choosing Celeste-powered products, and firms paying to govern every third-party AI tool they connect. Confidentiality has been a significant barrier to AI adoption at law firms, but Intapp's approach addresses this concern by governing AI on behalf of the firm.
"Firms are choosing carefully, and governance is a key reason why they're choosing Intapp," said John Hall. The company's focus on governance has helped address concerns around AI adoption, making it an attractive choice for top firms worldwide.
Intapp's Q1 2027 results demonstrate the company's ability to deliver value to professional services firms through its Firm AI solution. As the demand for AI continues to grow, Intapp is well-positioned to capitalize on this trend and become a leading provider of business applications for these firms.
