IQVIA Delivers Exceptional Q2 2026 Results: Strong Operational Performance Drives Growth Across All Segments

IQVIA, a leading global provider of advanced analytics, technology solutions, and clinical research services to the life sciences industry, has reported outstanding second quarter 2026 results. The company's Chairman and CEO, Ari Bousbib, emphasized the strong momentum seen in the first quarter continued with improving market conditions and operational execution.

In a conference call transcript released on July 28, 2026, IQVIA announced total revenue for the second quarter exceeded the high end of their guidance range, representing year-over-year growth of 8.7% on a reported basis, with FX much less of a tailwind than anticipated. At constant currency, growth was very strong at 8.5%. Second quarter adjusted EBITDA was above the high end of their guidance as well, representing year-over-year growth of 9.2%, driven entirely by strong operational performance.

IQVIA's R&DS segment delivered great results with revenue growth of nearly 9% and organically 7%. The company achieved $3.15 billion in net new bookings, representing 19% growth year-over-year and 27% growth sequentially, with notable strength in full service bookings translating into a quarterly book-to-bill ratio of 1.22. Notably, last 12-month net new bookings have increased in each of the past four quarters, up 13% year-over-year as of June 30th.

The commercial segment also saw organic revenue growth accelerate to 5%, more than a full point higher organic growth than a year ago. Clients launched newly approved products and expanded services utilization from IQVIA, driving growth in analytics and consulting, which grew organically high single digits year-over-year, the highest growth rate since 2022.

IQVIA's AI offerings gained further traction with increased customer adoption, while commercial engagement services and patient solutions both continued to grow double digits year-over-year. The company highlighted clear momentum in Commercial Solutions, with three consecutive quarters of strong, sustained, and improving results, and pipelines that remain at record levels.

Ari Bousbib noted the improvement in bookings is not just from this quarter alone, but a trend over longer time periods. This consistently improving demand environment and improving win rates for IQVIA's R&DS business point to strong fundamentals driving growth across all segments.
