Lindblad Expeditions Holdings Delivers Record-Breaking Quarter Amid Strong Booking Trends
Lindblad Expeditions Holdings, Inc. recently announced its 2026 second quarter financial results, showcasing a remarkable performance amidst challenging market conditions.
The company reported double-digit revenue growth, with total revenue increasing by 19% to $199 million, compared to $168 million in the same period last year. Notably, Lindblad's segment revenue grew 16% to $129 million, while Land Experiences segment revenue surged 23% to $70 million.
Adjusted EBITDA rose 31% to $32.5 million, with adjusted EBITDA margins improving 150 basis points to 16.3%, a testament to the company's operational efficiency and resilience in the face of rising fuel prices.
One of the standout achievements was the company's ability to deliver both occupancy and yield improvement despite a 12% increase in capacity. As CEO Natalya Leahy proudly reported, Lindblad achieved its second consecutive quarter of 90%+ occupancy, with a record-high 91% occupancy rate for the second quarter. Moreover, net yield increased by 4% to $1,294 per guest night, marking the sixth consecutive quarter of delivering record-breaking yields.
Leahy attributed this success to the company's robust booking trends, which have remained above the prior year even as last-minute availability has been booking at a healthy pace. The adjusted demand generation strategy helped minimize risk and preserve momentum in 2026, leading the company to raise its revenue guidance for the full year.
CEO Leahy emphasized that expedition travel sits at the intersection of three powerful trends: consumers valuing experiences over material possessions, affluent travelers seeking authentic and immersive experiences, and people looking for belonging, purpose, and human connection through travel. The global cruise market still has significant room for growth, with Lindblad uniquely positioned to capitalize on this opportunity.
The company's strategic pillars have driven its success, including the expansion of their fleet, growth in key markets, and investments in digital marketing and partnerships like National Geographic. As Leahy noted, every voyage is built on six decades of learning, relationships, and operational expertise.
With strong booking trends continuing into 2027, Lindblad Expeditions Holdings is poised for further growth amidst a rapidly evolving leisure travel market.
