Lindsay Corporation Exceeds Expectations in Q4 2026, Sets Stage for Sustainable Growth
The Lindsay Corporation has released its fiscal fourth quarter and full year 2026 earnings conference call transcript, showcasing the company's strong execution, resilience, and operational discipline throughout the year. CEO Randy Wood highlighted the global teams' efforts to strengthen operational performance, improve cost structure, and make targeted investments that enhance competitive position and support long-term growth.
One notable area of success was in irrigation, where Lindsay executed extremely well in project markets while remaining disciplined in challenging North America and Brazil markets. The company's team continued to leverage improving market fundamentals and stable financing conditions to deliver growth in the infrastructure segment. Moreover, Lindsay achieved a record-low total recordable incident rate below 1.0, representing a world-class level of performance in safety.
The Norfolk, Olathe, France, and Italy operations each achieved perfect safety records for the year, with CEO Randy Wood expressing his pride and gratitude to employees around the world for their continued commitment to work safely every day. Lindsay also strengthened its financial position through active pricing management, structural cost reductions, and operational efficiencies.
In North America, irrigation revenues increased 11% in the fourth quarter, driven by higher unit volumes and storm damage. Although commodity prices have receded recently, the improvement seen during the quarter reinforces Lindsay's confidence that demand can recover as farm economics strengthen. However, for sustained recovery, growers will need greater forward visibility and improved net farm income.
The agricultural technology business continued to build momentum, reflecting strong execution against Lindsay's innovation strategy. Annual recurring revenue grew approximately 11% year-over-year, extending the company's five-year CAGR to more than 15%. Solutions such as FieldNET and FieldNET Advisor are expanding relationships with growers beyond the initial equipment sale, providing technology that helps customers improve productivity, optimize water usage, and make more informed operating decisions.
Although near-term irrigation demand continues to be constrained in Brazil by high interest rates, limited credit availability, and softer crop economics, Lindsay sees encouraging signs of underlying demand. Expectations for drier conditions in the north are increasing grower interest in irrigation, with quotation activity improving year-over-year. The company views this as a positive leading indicator, although a more meaningful recovery will depend on improvement in financing conditions and grower economics.
In the MENA region, Lindsay's team completed all scheduled equipment shipments despite ongoing regional uncertainty, recognizing approximately $70 million of revenue during the fiscal year. The remaining balance is for services revenue in the region, which the company expects to recognize over the next 12-24 months.
