LPL Financial Surpasses Expectations with Record-Adjusted EPS of $5.97 in Q3 2026

LPL Financial Holdings Inc. has reported a strong third quarter 2026, exceeding market expectations with record-adjusted earnings per share (EPS) of $5.97. This represents a 15% increase from the same period last year.

The company's total client assets reached $2.6 trillion in Q3, up slightly from Q2 as organic growth was largely offset by modest market headwinds. Despite this, LPL Financial attracted organic net new assets of $29 billion, a 5% annualized growth rate that marks its best performance in over a year.

Rich Steinmeier, Chief Executive Officer, highlighted the company's success during the quarter, stating "We delivered another quarter of strong business performance and excellent financial results while continuing to advance key initiatives." He emphasized the importance of preserving client centricity, empowering employees, and delivering operating leverage in achieving the company's vision of becoming the best firm in wealth management.

LPL Financial's recruiting efforts also showed significant growth, with $24 billion in recruited assets during Q3. The company has maintained its position as a leader in capturing advisors in motion, while continuing to build strong pipelines for future recruitment.

Another notable achievement is the company's asset retention rate, which reached 97% for the quarter and 98% over the last 12 months. This is a testament to LPL Financial's ongoing efforts to enhance the advisor experience through new capabilities, technology, and service evolution.

The integration of Commonwealth Financial Network is also underway, with final preparations being made to onboard advisors in mid-November. The company has established an integrated operating model that preserves the core of Commonwealth's approach while leveraging LPL Financial's technology and capabilities.

This strategic partnership will benefit every advisor and institution on the platform, not just those from Commonwealth. With its industry-leading share of advisors in motion and strong recruiting pipelines, LPL Financial is well-positioned to sustain its growth trajectory and advance its operational efficiency.
