Marsh Delivers Strong Q3 2026 Results Amidst Global Uncertainty

Marsh, a leading professional services firm, has released its third quarter 2026 financial results, showcasing strong growth amidst a period of global change and uncertainty. The company's President and CEO, John Doyle, highlighted the need for businesses to adapt quickly in response to structural changes driven by factors such as wars, geoeconomics, extreme weather, and AI advances.

"We're clearly in a period of change and uncertainty in the world," Doyle stated during the conference call. "This change is structural, not cyclical, and it's happening at pace and all at once." He emphasized that Marsh is well-positioned to help clients navigate this environment through its expertise in risk, strategy, people, and investments.

The company has partnered with Bloomberg on the Competitive Resilience Coalition, which aims to strengthen resilience among businesses and governments. Doyle stressed that responsible AI implementation begins with developers but also requires collaboration from businesses and governments to ensure safeguards are in place. Marsh plans to help clients manage AI-related risks and capitalize on its opportunities.

In terms of financial performance, Marsh reported strong revenue growth, driven by its market-leading positions, client value, and colleague commitment worldwide. The consulting segment experienced significant growth in People and Investments and Management Consulting, while the Risk Advisory Services (RAS) saw accelerated risk business growth, albeit with reinsurance facing continued headwinds.

The company's results include:

Revenue grew 8% in Q3 2026

Underlying revenue growth was 5%

Adjusted operating income grew 6%

Adjusted EPS grew 10%

Marsh repurchased $500 million of stock, bringing the total to $2 billion for the year.

In addition to its financial performance, Marsh made progress on its Thrive program, increasing its savings target from $400 million to $600 million. This expansion will enable further investment in sales capacity, new capabilities, brand enhancement, and technology. Doyle emphasized that Thrive has enabled Marsh to invest in sales at a higher rate this quarter and year to date.

"We're seeing greater opportunities coming from Business and Client Services, or BCS, and advances in technology," Doyle noted. "As a result, we are increasing our Thrive savings target to $600 million." The company is also hiring producers and consultants in areas where it sees the greatest opportunity for growth.

Marsh's colleague value proposition remains strong, making it an attractive destination for top talent in its business.
