MaxLinear Sees Significant Growth in Q3 2026 Despite Market Uncertainty

Despite the uncertainty that continues to surround the global market, MaxLinear has managed to see significant growth in its third quarter of 2026. According to CEO Kishore Seendripu, the company's AI data center business has outperformed expectations, with overall revenue growing by a staggering 72% year-over-year.

This growth is attributed to the accelerating adoption of MaxLinear's optical PAM4 products, expanding customer engagements, and strong execution across its infrastructure portfolio. In fact, the company's infrastructure as a category saw a remarkable 210% increase in revenue over the same period last year, making it larger than the rest of its revenue categories combined.

MaxLinear has raised its 2026 optical data center revenue outlook to $250 million-$270 million, reflecting the momentum behind this growth. With strong visibility in bookings extending beyond 2027, the company expects another significant step-up in revenue next year.

The success of MaxLinear's Keystone product, a 5 nm CMOS 100 Gb per lane PAM4 SerDes family, is also worth noting. This product has been ramping up rapidly in high-volume production across multiple hyperscalers and has positioned the company at the center of today's 800G optical infrastructure deployments.

Looking ahead, MaxLinear sees accelerating customer activity around its Rushmore-based 200 Gb per lane PAM4 1.6 Tb architectures, where qualification programs are advancing toward expected production deployments in 2027. This is expected to become a major multiyear growth driver for the company.

Big Sky, MaxLinear's family of next-generation 400 Gb per lane 3.2 Tb optical and electrical PAM4 interconnect technologies, will further catalyze growth as data center network speeds continue to accelerate beyond 200 Gb per lane. Overall, MaxLinear's Q3 results demonstrate its ability to adapt and thrive in a rapidly changing market.

The company's CEO, Kishore Seendripu, notes that the ongoing AI infrastructure build-out momentum continues, with AI data center clusters scaling to unprecedented size and bandwidth requirements. This creates opportunities for companies like MaxLinear, which is emerging as a key enabler of next-generation connectivity technologies.

Despite some uncertainty around potential growth and market share gains across various product and geographic markets, MaxLinear's Q3 results demonstrate its commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction. As the company continues to execute its business plan and address new opportunities, investors will be watching closely for further developments in the coming months.
