Newmont produced an impressive 1.3 million ounces of gold, 17,000 tons of copper, and 7 million ounces of silver from its full portfolio in the second quarter. This performance supported a significant cash flow of $2.9 billion, with free cash flow reaching a record high of $2.2 billion.

The company announced the appointment of Brian Tabolt as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Newmont also welcomed Mark Rodgers as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. With over 30 years of experience in the industry, Mark will lead performance across the company's 12 managed operations with a focus on safe, consistent delivery and operational excellence.

Other notable appointments include David Thornton, who was appointed as Executive Vice President and Chief Technical Officer, and David Fry, who took up the newly created position as Executive Vice President, Project Development. These appointments demonstrate Newmont's commitment to building a future-ready organization with strong leadership capabilities.

The company also highlighted its significant progress in returning value to shareholders through quarterly dividends and ongoing share repurchases. Since initiating their share repurchase program over two years ago, they have returned approximately $1.9 billion to shareholders, including purchasing more than 100 million shares.
