Novartis Delivers Strong Performance Across Priority Brands and Launches
Novartis has reported a strong performance across its priority brands and launches during the second quarter of 2026. The company's business grew 1% in constant currencies, with core operating income remaining flat at $5.9 billion. This growth trajectory is expected to continue into the second half of the year, setting the stage for delivery on midterm growth guidance.
Key highlights from Novartis' Q2 2026 results include strong performance across its growth drivers, which grew by 36% in constant currencies. KISQALI was a standout performer, with sales up 43% in constant currencies and exceeding $1 billion in the U.S. for the first time. The company's metastatic breast cancer leadership continued to strengthen, with an increasing share in first-line treatment.
Novartis also reported strong performance from its other priority brands, including Cosentyx, Scemblix, Pluvicto, and Leqvio. Kesimpta had another strong quarter, up 32% and increasing its share across key markets. The company's pipeline continued to advance, with updated KISQALI OS data and del-brax biomarker data in FSHD providing important regulatory milestones.
In particular, the six-year follow-up data for KISQALI demonstrated clinically meaningful OS in the broadest at-risk EBC population, further underscoring the value of dual inhibition with KISQALI and endocrine therapies across all subgroups. This data will be presented at an upcoming medical congress.
Novartis reaffirmed its full-year guidance for 2026, citing momentum from its growth drivers as they move beyond the Entresto patent expiry. The company's strong performance is expected to continue into the second half of the year, setting the stage for delivery on midterm growth guidance.
