Orion Group Holdings Shines in Q3 2026 with Strong Financials and Promising Outlook

Orion Group Holdings, a leading construction company, has reported impressive financial results for the third quarter of 2026. In a recent conference call, the company's management shared their excitement about the quarter's performance and highlighted the promising outlook for the future.

The company delivered a strong Q3, with consolidated revenues growing by an impressive 14% year-over-year. This growth was driven by highly active projects, favorable operating conditions, and disciplined execution across the business. Adjusted EBITDA margin expanded by 120 basis points, and adjusted EBITDA increased by a significant 37% compared to the same period in 2025.

One of the key contributors to Orion's strong performance was its Pacific Rock and Dredge team, or McAmis, which made significant contributions in the quarter. The company successfully integrated this business onto their platform, retaining the entire workforce, and is pleased with the acquisition and the work they do.

The management also highlighted the strong market outlook for the company's end markets and geographies. Customer activity remains robust across both operating segments, with a broad range of opportunities active or coming into focus. The company is in the early stages of a multi-year infrastructure investment cycle spanning national defense, energy security, port modernization, coastal resilience, industrial and manufacturing reshoring, and mission-critical investments.

Orion's backlog may not yet reflect this, but bid activity has increased across their business, with a sizable $2 billion in submitted bids awaiting award. The company's win rate is strong and has remained steady, indicating that owners are slow to award projects due to complexity and other factors. Award timing can vary by quarter, but the scale and breadth of the pipeline reinforce Orion's confidence in the outlook for their business.

During Q3, the company booked $179 million of new contract wins and was awarded competitive positions on two additional Navy MACCs. In marine demand remains strong, while the path from opportunity to award continues to evolve. The company is pursuing larger, more complex projects through alternative delivery methods that involve contractors earlier in the project lifecycle.

Orion Group Holdings' Q3 performance demonstrates their ability to execute and deliver results even in a rapidly evolving market. With a strong financial foundation and a promising outlook, the company is well-positioned for continued growth and success in the future.
