Outdoor Holding Company Posts Strong Q1 Earnings: 22.1% Revenue Growth and $9.4 Million Net Income Improvement
Outdoor Holding Company, a leading online marketplace for outdoor enthusiasts, reported strong first-quarter earnings for fiscal year 2027, with net revenues increasing 22.1% to $14.5 million.
In a conference call on August 10th, 2026, Chairman and CEO Steve Urvan highlighted the company's continued progress towards its goal of disciplined growth and continuous improvement. The stabilization phase is substantially behind us, but operational improvement is continuous," said Urvan. Our operating philosophy is simple: continuous improvement and disciplined growth.
Key highlights from the quarter include:
A 22.1% increase in net revenues to $14.5 million, marking the company's fourth consecutive quarter of year-over-year revenue growth; a $9.4 million improvement in net income from continuing operations, with net income from continuing operations improving from a loss of $5.9 million to income of $3.6 million; and an impressive 152% increase in adjusted EBITDA to $7.9 million.
Chief Financial Officer Paul Kasowski provided further details on the financial performance during the call, noting that improvement was broad-based across various metrics such as traffic conversion, average order value, and firearm unit sales. Firearm units sold increased 11.6% against a 5.3% increase in adjusted NICS.
The company's leaner operating structure converted growth into meaningful earnings and cash flow, with operating cash flow improving by $11.1 million from a deficit of $6.7 million last year to positive $4.4 million this year. Just as importantly, improvement was broad-based," said Urvan.
Urvan also highlighted the performance of GunBroker.com, which grew faster than the broader market during the quarter. FFL-required units represented approximately 6.4% of adjusted NICS, an increase of 41 basis points year-over-year. Additionally, FFL transfer revenue, launched at the beginning of the fiscal year, created a new revenue stream and expanded the company's dealer network.
The results demonstrate the effectiveness of Outdoor Holding Company's operating philosophy, which prioritizes continuous improvement and disciplined growth. The company is committed to delivering durable long-term shareholder value by making its platform more valuable and monetizing more of each transaction."
